Today I used google Slides to show what I have learned about Jean Batten.
The most interesting thing that I found out was that Jean Batten got her licenses and starting flying at such a young age because it was here dream to fly planes.
I think that Jean Batten was brave for flying those old unsafe planes and suffering through all that loneliness to go to all the places that she wanted and break records.

I would like to invent rocket gloves: gloves that shoot of your hands at your command so if you need to get something but its risky to go and get it because you might get hurt you can just launch your rocket fist and tell it to go get that thing.

An interesting thing about dolphins is most dolphins have triangle dorsal fins but the hectors dolphin has a rounded dorsal fin.
Marine Biologists research marine animals like the whale and other fish like that.
Seaweed is amazing because it plays a really important role in our Eco system and scientists believe it is the plant of the future.
Last week we had our Olympics athletics day the events included sprints, throws, high jump and long jump. I came second in the sprint races, third in the high jump first in the long jump but I didn't place in the throws.
I really enjoyed all of the events, I gave it my all and it really paid off by me getting lots of places.
Something that was a bit tricky was the high jump because when the bar got high I had to start using different techniques to get over it.
I am really proud of how i did this athletics, I tried my best and left it all out on the field.

In our literacy group, we have been learning about Moa and how we can bring them back to life.
Moa are the largest bird ever to walk the earth and it would be amazing to see them walk the earth again.
They became extinct because the Haast Eagle hunted them for food like Māori. Māori hunted them for their bones to make fish hooks and pendants.
An interesting thing that I learned was the Moa are part of the ratite group of birds and they are closely related to the ostrich and the emu.
Over the last 2 weeks I have been working on a slideshow about the Ancient Olympics vs the Modern Olympics.
I enjoyed learning about both Olympics what sports were in them and what country's they were held in.
I found it hard to read the information on the text because the print was so small and that made it hard for me to get all of the information.
I am proud of what I have done I worked my hardest and it really paid off their will be no next time because I don't want to remake what I have already done my best at.
Over the last week, I have written a report about Liberato Cacace, who is a pro football player playing for the OlyWhites at the Tokyo Olympics.
I enjoyed finding out all of the information so I could write the report - like who he plays for and what tournaments he plays for and things like that.
I found it hard to put all of the information into sentences because they were all listed as facts on the websites I looked at.
I am proud of the learning I have done and I have met all of the success criteria.
This week in Maths, we have been focusing on the Olympics so we are doing thing like javelin throwing, football and all of those types of challenges. In the challenges we have to measure the area of things, the millilitres (ml) something of things and the meters of how far something went.
I really enjoyed collaborating with my team, doing all of the different activities and exploring what it would be like if I was in the Olympics I found out that when rowing if their is to much weight on one side of the canoe than than it will tip, so you have to distribute your weight evenly and things like that.
Something that was a bit tricky was getting my team to listen to me and getting all of the stuff together for the challenge. Maybe next time I could ask my team to do some stuff for me and talk a bit louder when explaining stuff.
I am really looking forward to next week when me and my team are going to do the other half of the challenges that we didn't do this week.
Today I was making a reflection slide about Term Two because it's nearly the end of the term and me and my class wanted to reflect on what we have done this term. I found it easy to find the photos and put the captions on them. I found it hard to remember most of the things we did this term and I enjoyed reflecting on all of the learning we did this term.
In the last couple of Ormond TV sessions we have gotten to 42 seconds worth of footage for the TV show. With each session we are getting closer to finishing our first episode of Ormond TV. Also in the last couple of sessions we have been editing videos and photos. Trimming them, enlarging them to make them the perfect amount of time.
Today we went to Farmers Air to look around for our same but different taskboard. I enjoyed watching Hoags fly around a plane. It was amazing looking around his work and seeing what he does. I learned about what fertilizer does for the plants and what types of planes he fly's.
Kia Ora this is an Ormond TV update I found out that I am an editor for the TV show and we are just up to putting on the photos and the introduction. The filmers are filming videos of the classrooms waving to put on the show and that's as far as we have gotten.
Today we will be working on the first episode of the Ormond TV show using We video. Ormond TV is a group of people from the Rimu learning hub at Ormond school. Our first episode will be about careers. I think my job as part of Ormond TV is a film person, a film person is a person that takes videos and photos for another person that will edit my video's for the TV show.
Last week I was making a Mothers Day poem for Mum for the Mothers Day celebration on Friday. It was fun because I put in the work to make um happy and I felt so happy when I saw her smile about it at the celebration. I found it hard to think of good similes to put in the poem for Mum. We played games like Monopoly Deal, Cards Against Humanity, Twister, Animal Bingo,Chess,Headbanz,Jenga and Scrabble.
How have you been kind this week?
I was kind by standing up for Quinn when Luke was in a bad mood and being mean because if I didn't Quinn would be down in the dumps for a long time after that.
What questions have you asked this week?
I asked lots of questions if I wasn't sure because if I tried to do it on my own and not know how to do it I would get it wrong a lot.
What is one thing that you have learned this week?
I learned about 24 hour analog and digital clocks this week so I could tell the time properly.
How can you make next week great?
I can make next week great by helping as may people as possible because helping people makes me feel good.

What was your favorite mistake this week?
Today I was doing a play on how Maui fished up the North Island for Maori inquiry and it was fun.
I found it easy to remember my lines. set up the props for the play and work with my group mates, Matthew L, Mason and Ramin , because we all were able to work together.
I found it tricky to get my group mates to practice before the play but it didn't matter because the whole play went well.
Next time I would make sure I use a firmer voice to get my group mates to practice because then the play would have been better.
Today I was learning how to record an interview with my buddy using Screencastify.
I found Screencastify easy to use because Iv'e used it before.
I enjoyed everything about it because I love doing coding and ctrl c/ ctrl shift v ing things.
I found it tricky to get the embed code for it and get it on the post because there were so many buttons and I didn't know which ones to click.

Today I was learning how to insert callouts in Google slides to tell people about caring for their devices.
My callouts showed how to care for your device so it doesn't break.
I enjoyed putting in the background color, inserting callouts, putting in the green keyboard and inserting a photo of myself in the middle I enjoyed it because it's easy and I've done it so many times
I found it tricky to insert the cool cursive writing because I couldn't find the website and I didn't understand it.
Today I was learning use the curve and polyline tool on google slides to make a self portrait of myself.
I enjoyed tracing myself with the tools on google slides because it was fun fitting the vex points to fit the photo of me.
I found it challenging to get it perfect because it was hard to move the vex points to the perfect place.
My digital learning object shows I can make a self portrait of myself using line tools.
Next time I would change most things to try and make them better because my body looks quite manky there are bumps everywhere.
